Girls Traveling Basketball

Taste of Traveling

We are very excited to once again offer our “Taste of Traveling”
program to all of you! This program is geared toward those
families who are interested in participating in Andover Girls
Traveling Basketball for next season. The goal is to give your
daughter and your family a “Taste” of what traveling basketball is
all about. If you choose to participate, you can expect 2 practices
per week and then 2-3 tournaments. We are planning to have
practices begin the week of January 7th and then have the
tournaments the end of January and beginning of February. This
is being offered to any age level from 3rd grade to 8th grade. As
long as we have a minimum of 8 girls for each level, we will form
a team! The cost of this program is $100 per player. We will also
be looking for anyone who is interested in coaching a team as
You will find the link for registration on our website, or the link is also listed below . . .

Grade Recognition

For these games players meet at the bench pregame and form a tunnel for the starters to run through and at halftime do a shooting game at the half. We call it the Slushie Shootout. We will give away one shushie to a winning player each night. Coaches pick a shooting game they want to do to determine the winner. At halftime the players names are also announced. Please have each coach bring a roster and meet with the PA announcer before the varsity game. Players should arrive at 6:30. Game times are 7 pm.

Here is a list of the grade recognition nights:

  • 12/21- youth night , recognizing 10,000 shots finishers
  • 1/4- 8th Grade Night
  • 1/10- 7th Grade Night
  • 1/29- 6th Grade Night
  • 2/5- 5th Grade Night
  • 2/19- 4th Grade Night
