Girls In-house Basketball

Thank-you for 21 great years!

I will miss being the Girl's Basketball Director, but there are so many things that I am thankful for over the last 21 years.  In fact there are way too many to list.  I thank all members of the Andover board throughout the years who have become my friends. For all of the parents who have always greeted me with a smile and a kind word.  For the refs who do a fantastic job and take care of business and teach the girls how to play.  For the coaches who have given up all of their time to provide positive support to each of the girls.  For the families who have become special to me. I mostly want to thank the girls for always looking like they are having fun, because basketball is supposed to be fun.  It is not the team record that matters, but the character of the girls, coaches, and parents who remember this is just for fun and nothing more.

I am sure that next season, it will hit me, but it was time for me to step down and get someone in the position with some new ideas.  The new director has some great ideas to go forward with!  I will be helping with the transition for the next season.

I want to thank my family for putting up with me during the season, (July to January), and understanding why I couldn't do some of the family things I could have done, but put my effort into the program instead. Luke has given me a lot of support over the years and he has turned out to be a popular coach who knows how to teach skills. Mari and Kate for the numerous times we had to fold and tape flyers and get them ready for mailing (in the days we did that portion of the mailings). For Beth who has stood by me and helped me in so many ways.

I am so thankful for all of you! I am sure I will see you around in the future.  Thank you!
